The Future of Sustainability
Here’s what we've achieved so far:
>90%
Reduction in greenhouse gas intensity since 2004
~70%
Improvement in energy efficiency since 2004
55 million
The equivalent of the number of cars removed from the road for one year thanks to Solstice
~6,100
Sustainability projects completed since 2010, saving an annualized $100M
PROGRESS SO FAR
April 2021:
We committed to carbon neutrality with respect to Scopes 1 and 2 greenhouse gases, and to further quantify and address our Scope 3 emissions.
February 2022:
- We submitted our Commitment Letter to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) committing to develop a science-based target in line with their protocols that will include Scope 3 emissions.
- We joined the US Department of Energy’s Better Climate Challenge, committing to reduce our US Scopes 1 and 2 greenhouse gases by 50% from a 2018 baseline by no later than 2030.
